The Broughton Flume

This is the last (at least in the 1970's) operating lumber flume in Washington state. It winds its way from the Willard lumber mill across the Underwood heights and down to the Columbia River. Near its start on White Salmon creek dense undergrowth soften the hard surface of recent lava flows.
