Shenyang, Northeast China
A not-so-subtile reminder that the Qing Dynasty was in fact a "foreign" occupation of Han China is the Manchu "Forbidden City" located at their original seat of power in Shenyang, northeast China. Throughout the period of Qing rule this court was never abandoned.
