Sillimanite Schist
Section cut perpendictular to foliation. This rock from the Upper Amphibolite Facies, Sillimanite Zone metamorphic grade. Minerals seen include brown biotite, gray diamond-shaped sillimanite ends, and opaque (isotropic) garnet.
